Our Team:
We have 4 vacancies across both our leisure centres, 2 based at Halton Leisure Centre and 2 at Brookvale Recreation Centre. These roles will help deliver our swimming lessons in accordance with the Swim England ‘Learn to Swim’ Framework and/or National Curriculum requirements.
Hours:
Role 1 HLC 13 hours: Mon 16.00 -19.00, Wed 16.00 -19.30, Thurs 16.00 -19.00, Sat 8.00- 11.30
Role 2 HLC 12.5 hours: Tue 16.00-19.30, Wed 16.00-19.30, Thur 16.30-18.30, Sat 8.00-11.30
Role 3 BRC 9 hours: Tue 16.00-18.00, Wed 16.00-18.00, Sat 8.00-13.00
Role 4 BRC 7 hours: Mon 16.00-18.30, Sat 8.00-12.30
Your Contributions:
- Provide a professional and high-quality service to participants at all times, ensuring that all lessons are delivered using the Swim England ‘Learn to Swim’ Framework and/or National Curriculum requirements and ensure that participants are supervised at all times.
- Ensure teaching equipment is on the poolside before the class starts and classes start and finish promptly. Complete a register for each class and clear away at the end of lessons.
- Motivate and instruct pupils during their lessons. Assess the group requirements weekly and teach accordingly to ensure continuous improvement. Work to achieve relevant badges, incorporating all badge criteria into your lesson plans within a suitable timeframe, regularly update the badge criteria for each pupil on the iPod where available.
It is essential that you hold an SEQ (or equivalent) Level 2 Swimming Teaching Qualification.
You will ideally hold a NRASTC (National Rescue Award for Swim Teachers and Coaches) or National Pool Lifeguard Qualification however training will be given if you do not already hold this.
