Our Team:

We are seeking a highly motivated and suitably skilled Recruitment and Resourcing Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The team includes a Service Manager, Agency Contracts Manager, Team Leader and Recruitment & Resourcing Officers. You will report into the Agency Contract Manager but will work across the team to provide the required administrative support.

Work is underway to implement a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS) as we continue to improve our recruitment processes, increase our advertising channels, and improve our employee offering. We’ve been significantly involved in the Council’s ongoing Transformation Programme and continue to input into that ongoing work.

Hours: 37 (Monday to Friday)

Your Contributions:

As our Recruitment and Resourcing Assistant, you will:

  • Provide advice and support in relation to recruitment and resourcing requests received to ensure an efficient service.
  • Consider requests for agency workers and monitor agency placements.
  • Maintain and update service structures within the HR system relating to post changes, leavers, new posts and restructures.
  • Support with documentation updates, verification of pre-employment checks, and create and maintain electronic, and payroll records for new starters ensuring accurate and timely input using a range of HR systems.
  • Assist with the management of the DBS processes, including renewals and re-checks, and act as a counter-signatory.
  • Analyse and assess data and support with the production of reports.
  • Demonstrate competency in the use of electronic document management systems.
  • Be experienced working in an administrative environment, ideally Human Resources, together with knowledge, understanding and experience of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Have a basic knowledge of HR function, policy, and process, including an awareness of Agency Worker regulations and knowledge of recruitment processes.
  • Be team focused with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver objectives, as well as demonstrating initiative and working independently.

We are pleased to offer a hybrid working approach to this role, with the service currently offering 40% of your working week based in the office in Widnes.
