Our service provides long-term support to children and their families, with a strong focus on exceptional care and a nurturing environment. As a cook, you'll play a vital role in this by preparing nutritious, home-style meals that support health and well-being. We follow a person-centered approach, respecting each child’s privacy, dignity, and individual needs—ensuring that mealtimes are not only nourishing but comforting and inclusive.
Your Contributions:
As a cook at Inglefield, you will be responsible for planning, purchasing and preparing nutritionally balanced and appetising meals for the children and staff. You will serve the meals and clear away, ensuring that the kitchen facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness to meet the requirements of the food hygiene guidelines.
You will plan, prepare and cook to meet multiple dietary requirements and provisions, and will be responsible for Health & Safety/Food Safety and hygiene in the kitchen, and will undertake inventory control.
You will ideally have a Food Safety level 2 certificate or above, and/or a relevant catering qualification, with experience of working in a commercial/residential kitchen.
