Halton Borough Council is seeking to recruit an experienced Community Support Worker

Our Team:

You will be based in the Child in Need/Protection team working alongside and supporting Social Workers with vulnerable children and families.

Hours: 37 per week

Your Contributions:

Community Support Workers undertake various interventions, including parenting, healthy relationships, self-protection work, preventative interventions, wishes, and feelings, to ensure that the lived experience of the child is heard and understood.You will contribute to Social Work assessments, attend meetings, and keep children’s records up to date.

You must be able to work as part of a team, and be flexible, adaptable, and responsive, as this is a service where the needs of service users come first, and no two days are ever the same.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and commitment, in order to provide the best possible support and advice to all parents. This is a diverse role, that requires flexibility and creative working to achieve best outcomes.
