Our Team:
Halton’s Children’s Services are excited to welcome a new Resourcing Officer.
You’ll be joining a passionate, supportive, and collaborative team that works across the council to make a real difference in the lives of children and families. Working closely with the Director of Children’s Social Care, you will help ensure that our services – particularly around recruitment – are well-managed, responsive, and aligned with our commitment to high-quality care and support.
Hours: 37 per week
Your Contributions:
As a Resourcing Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Director of Children’s Social Care, helping to drive forward workforce initiatives and key change projects across the service. You’ll be at the heart of our governance processes, ensuring smooth coordination and effective communication. From facilitating high-level meetings with internal teams to working with external partners, this is a dynamic role where no two days are the same.
- The post holder will be a highly motivated, proactive individual with an excellent understanding of electronic and IT programmes.
- You will assist social work managers in co-ordinating transactional activity relating to hiring manager responsibilities for appointments in both the permanent and temporary labour markets.
- With your experience in recruitment, you will support hiring managers through the key stages of the Council’s recruitment processes, providing comprehensive advice and guidance and practical support in creation of recruitment documentation such as job descriptions, adverts and interview questions.
- You will be responsible for coordinating the collection of operational data to inform hiring decisions and support business cases. This role requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage large volumes of data with accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- In addition, you will play a key role in ensuring that change projects relating to improving services are supported within children’s services, being able to prioritise to meet the demands of the service.
