Our Team:

Help Shape the Future of InclusionHalton Borough Council and NHS partners are seeking a highly organised, motivated and professional Administrative Officer to support our new Experts at Hand Team, an ambitious and transformative service designed to strengthen inclusion, build capacity within mainstream settings and improve outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

As Administrative Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative and operational support to the Experts at Hand Team, helping to ensure the efficient coordination and delivery of services across education, health and care partners. You will be responsible for arranging meetings and visits, maintaining records and databases, managing communications, preparing documentation and supporting the day-to-day running of the service.

We are looking for an individual with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, schools, families and partner organisations whilst maintaining confidentiality and high professional standards.This is a unique opportunity to join a pioneering service at the heart of Halton's commitment to inclusion and to make a meaningful contribution to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

Hours: 37 hours per week

Your Contributions:

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting a multidisciplinary team that brings specialist expertise directly into schools, early years settings and colleges, ensuring that the right support is available at the right time.More specific responsibilities include:

•  Responsibility for data entry onto service specific IT systems

•  Provision of administrative support to customers of the shared service when preparing for audits and inspections

•  Creation and assistance in the maintenance of manual and computerised filing systems to enable up to date and accurate information to be retained and retrieved

•  Assistance in the administration of financial transactions including placing orders, goods receipting and dealing with enquiries

•  Responsibility for the efficient organisation of internal, external and multi-agency meetings including arranging meetings, preparing and sending out agendas, booking rooms, attending and taking minutes of meetings, distributing minutes and following up on actions as appropriate
